Steve Smith: The mercurial Panthers’ wide receiver broke his arm over the weekend playing flag football against adults. “Smith was playing flag football in an adult league at the Siskey YMCA Sunday when he fell and landed awkwardly on his left arm. He immediately called team officials, and met with team doctors before undergoing surgery to insert a plate and two screws into the broken left radius to speed healing.” Smith should be ready for the opening weekend.
