Academics: “Starting Thursday, college athletics’ governing body will attach academic ratings to coaches in basketball, football and four other Division I sports, launching an online database accessible to recruits, their parents, prospective employers and others who might value the information.” There’s a mention of the coaches/schools who have “scored” well – Arizona State’s Herb Sendek, Duke’s Coach K’s, etc – but only one coach who didn’t do particularly well (Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim). Yes, you know everyone’s waiting to see the “grades” of mercenaries like Kentucky’s John Calipari, anyone (everyone?) in the SEC, Kelvin Sampson, and Jim Harrick (because you know both of those guys will be coaching again soon). [USA Today]
Mullen is 6-15 vs. SEC teams that are not Kentucky the past three years.
Fat guy touchdown…pass?
Happy Holadays indeed.
The rankings have a lot more to do with where teams are seeded, and Virginia and Louisville are on the rise.
Love apparently doesn’t care for Chandler’s comments.
