Sources at NBC also confirmed removing Olbermann from the show had nothing to do with his political views.
The news hardly seems like a bad thing considering the Sunday Night Football lead-in show consists of roughly 25 panelists and analysts. The only fun aspect of having him on the show was for the reunion with Dan Patrick. For those that remember when they once owned the SportsCenter stage, along with Craig Kilborn, it was kind of fun having them back together. Let’s just hope Tony Dungy isn’t slotted to take Olbermann’s seat for the highlights.
