North Carolina: So much for the Tar Heels contending in the ACC. One of our three sleeper picks for the upcoming college football season looks like it could lose a star on its defensive line, Marvin Austin. According to Yahoo, the NCAA is investigation UNC defensive line coach John Blake’s connection with agent Gary Wichard. “The NCAA’s inquiry into Blake has focused on his one-time position as vice president of football operations for Pro Tect Management – an agency founded and run by Wichard since 1979.” Wichard denied Blake had such a title, and then when Yahoo’s Charles Robinson presented Wichard with a brochure proving it, the agent (who is Mel Kiper’s BFF) said the brochure was “meaningless.” Tell it to the NCAA, Gary.
