A.J. Green Suspended Four Games For Selling His Jersey to "Agent"

Georgia wideout A.J. Green will miss three more games (four total) for selling his Independence Bowl jersey to an agent for $1,000. The buyer of the jersey fulfills the NCAA definition of “an agent.” Green repaid the money to charity. He will sit out against South Carolina, Arkansas and Mississippi St. and be eligible to return Oct. 2 against Colorado. Green claims to have “learned a valuable lesson” and “hopes others can learn from (his) mistake.”

“Others” apparently does not include the University of Georgia, which has no less than six versions of his jersey available for sale on its website. NCAA hypocrisy. So it goes.
