Michigan State Beats Notre Dame 34-31 on Fake Field Goal, But Time Had Expired

Mark Dantonio called the “Little Giants” Play, faking a game-tying field goal in overtime and throwing a touchdown to beat Notre Dame 34-31.  One problem, it appears time ran out before the ball was snapped.  ESPN’s gameclock clearly reads “00” before the ball was snapped.  Consensus seemed to be MSU snapped the ball a small fraction of a second after the clock expired, so, within the acceptable margin for human error.  [Screengrab via @TheBigLead; alternative views that prove the ball was snapped late can be seen here and here; Brian Kelly addresses the issue here.]
