Tony Gwynn has been diagnosed with cancer of the salivary gland. According to Gwynn, its a slow moving and aggressive form of cancer. Gwynn, “had three procedures since 1997 to remove non-cancerous tumors to the largest salivary gland.” ESPN says that Gwynn thinks the cancer could have come from years of chewing tobacco use.
