Mike Vick uncorked this TD pass from his own 4. DeSean Jackson caught it in stride at his 34. The calculator tells us that he threw it 62 yards on a rope. Reminded us of the bomb Mark Sanchez threw to Braylon Edwards against the Lions two weeks ago (also 62 yards, in the air, hitting him in stride). Vick’s insane night against the awful Skins defense: 20-28, 333 yards, four TDs; 80 yards rushing and two scores. Vick’s suddenly a candidate for MVP. The Eagles are a Super Bowl contender in the mediocre NFC. Here are the three losses for the Eagles – the opener, when Kevin Kolb was knocked out and Vick came on in relief; to the Redskins in Philly, when Vick was knocked out and Kolb finished the game; and in Tennessee when Vick didn’t play.
So the Eagles haven’t lost a game that Vick has started and finished. The first one probably comes Sunday against the Giants – assuming they don’t knock him out of the game.
Our favorite part of last night’s game? The fact that LaRon Landry started talking smack – allegedly – to DeSean Jackson about his concussion in the pregame warmups, and the Eagles decided to go after him on the first play. As you can see in the video above, Landry ended up getting toasted … by Jackson.
