Father Trades Son: After the arrest of Brett Daryl Sutter last week, the Calgary Flames decided to trade him. The GM who pulled the trigger? His father, Darryl Sutter. Of course, a Calgary assistant GM said Sutter getting traded had nothing to do with last week’s arrest. “The deal according to assistant general manager Jay Feaster, has nothing to do with Brett’s legal troubles or the name on the back of his jersey. The Flames started talking trade with Carolina in late October, Feaster said, and Brett’s name was in the mix from the start.” [Herald]
