Cliff Lee, Pick Six, Cap Awful Night in Texas Sports

Cliff Lee passed on the Rangers – and the Yankees! – and signed with the Philadelphia Phillies. Lee passed up a 6-year, $148 million offer from the Yankees (it had a $16 million, 7th year option) to sign a 5-year, $115 million deal with the team he helped take to the World Series in 2009. More later, obviously.

Matt Schaub rallied the Texans from down 28-7 to tie the game and send it into overtime. Then, he threw a pick-six to lose the game, 34-28, dashing Houston’s faint playoff hopes.
