Zack Greinke: The Milwaukee-Journal Sentinel is reporting a rumor that the Brewers have sent “shortstop Alcides Escobar, center fielder Lorenzo Cain, and right-hander Jeremy Jeffress to Kansas City in return for Greinke, shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt and approximately $2M.” The paper did stress that the deal was a “preliminary agreement” and nobody in the organization has confirmed the trade. [UPDATE: A second outlet in Milwaukee is reporting the trade, and so is ESPN’s Buster Olney.]
