Steve Nash’s Divorce: Last month, one day after the birth of his son, Nash announced he was divorcing his wife of five years, Alejandra. Nash filed his divorce papers last week, and the Phoenix Suns’ point guard “is asking the court to uphold a premarital agreement that calls for him to not provide permanent spousal support.” Nash has made around $100 million in his career. The divorce papers said the marriage was “irretrievably broken” and there was “no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.” Alejandra released a statement, part of which said, “he told me of his desire to divorce the day before the birth of our son … no matter how trying and disappointing the situation …” Hmmm. Since the divorce there have been many rumors swirling about the impetus for the divorce, none of which we’ll print here. But reading between the lines here, it isn’t difficult to speculate.
