Jim Caldwell, Professional Dummy, Wanted To Make The Jets "Snap The Ball"

“I didn’t care. I was going to make sure that they couldn’t. Make them snap the ball. They were in field goal range,” said Caldwell of the timeout call.

It was a decision he made before in this season, calling timeout twice in the final 48 seconds at Jacksonville with the game tied and the Jaguars trying to drive for a field goal. The move backfired, as the timeout-less David Garrard led Jacksonville down the field to set up Josh Scobee’s game-winning 48-yard field goal.

They did just that as Mark Sanchez’s final attempt to sail a football over a receiver’s head was squashed by Braylon Edwards who is tall and can jump high. This week will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy it. Mark Sanchez is not your king.
