As you can see here, Andre Iguodala of the 76ers gave something of a forearm shiver to rookie teammate Evan Turner Friday night. According to the News Journal, “Iguodala said he was delivering the message that Turner, the second overall pick in the draft, should play his game and stop listening to everybody’s criticisms.” Turner simply said, “it’s over.” Turner’s averaging 7.1 ppg and 4.4 rpg this season, but his defense has been better than his offense (just 28 percent from three). As of right now, Turner hasn’t earned his way onto the All-Rookie team. [vid via Philly Sports Central]
Atlanta 93, Miami 89, OT: Wade and LeBron shot a combined 19-for-50, and the Heat lost their fourth in a row. It’s no big deal, of course. The best Miami can do now is 69 wins … that’s if they win the final 39 games in a row.The over/under for wins this season was either 65 or 66 … hope you took the under. Joel Anthony displayed outstanding discipline last night: 43 minutes, 16 rebounds (eight offensive), 0-0 FGs, 0-0 FTs. Also, he got got dunked on by Josh Smith. The Hawks, for now, are a game up on Orlando in the East for the 4th seed.
