Blake Griffin couldn’t use his super powers to propel the Clippers over the Blazers last night. The Blazers clogged the lane and seemed to confuse Griffin, limiting him to 6-of-17 shooting, and forcing him into five turnovers (tying a season high). The Blake Show finished with 20 points and 18 rebounds.
Based on internet reaction, I’m guessing Griffin is currently being talked-about more on the web than the Heat, people already crave Griffin highlights more than any other player in the league (Durant, Kobe, etc), and that’s pretty incredible for a rookie who is 21 years old and played in just 42 games. Nevertheless, Donald Sterling will find a way to fuck this up, and this summer we’ll all be cooking up dream-team like scenarios with Griffin as the linchpin, surrounded by Steph Curry at point guard and small forward to be named later.
