Please Remain Calm About Nnamdi Asomugha-to-the-Jets Rumors

New York Jets: Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network reported this week that the Jets’ offseason priority list is as follows: Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards, Brad Smith, Antonio Cromartie. That’s surprising, considering how much of an impact Cromartie had in the postseason (only beaten once in three games, by Pierre Garcon). Lombardi’s report led to rampant speculation that the Jets would make a run at free agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. How the Jets plan to afford him was not part of Lombardi’s report, which isn’t surprising. I firmly believe only Cromartie can price himself out of NY. Maybe the Jets planted this report in an effort to make Cromartie take less money than he wants?
