One of the many athletic freaks expected to watch their draft stock soar at the NFL Combine this week is receiver Torrey Smith of Maryland. He’s a burner with sub-4.3 40 speed who also might have a vertical leap at or around 40 inches. Here he is pulling off the Vince Carter arm-in-the-basket dunk. Smith could probably work his way into the Top 20 … unless teams remember another Maryland WR with speed who has done little in the league so far, Darrius Heyward-Bey, and get skittish.
