It was Davies’ first competitive match since he suffered multiple traumatic injuries in an Oct. 2009 car accident. It’s hard to gleam much from the goals. The first was a penalty. On the second, his marker fell over, but seeing him hit the net twice and bust out his trademark stanky leg celebration was surely an optimistic sign.
