The guy has a violent past that borders on criminal. So whenever he has a big hit, it’s going to be questioned. Even if the player – in this case Ryan Johnson – sees it coming and arguably ducks into Bertuzzi’s flying elbow, there’s a thin gray line. Bertuzzi earned 5 minutes and a game misconduct for the hit.
