Orioles 5, Tigers 1 — In his first start of the year, young Jake Arrieta was impressive. Actually, considering he plays for the Orioles, his performance was downright legendary. The question is, are you believers yet? Because I’m terrified, though not as frightened as I am of Buck Showalter in street clothes.

Pirates 4, Cardinals 3 — As mentioned in the headline, the Pirates have three road wins and the promising top of the order in Jose Tabata and Neil Walker are hitting. If I know Pirates fans, and I think I do, they’re expecting this to last approximately six more minutes.

Cubs 4, Diamondbacks 1 — Randy Wells (6 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 6 K) pitched a bit more focused than he was during picture day. I would love to hear his thoughts on buffalo wings. As for the D-Backs, Russell Branyan is their cleanup hitter. Woah.

Braves 2, Brewers 1 — Opposing starters Brandon Beachy and Chris Narveson combined for 12 innings and one earned run, just as you suspected. Vindictive detective M. Prado had two hits and went deep, and Sid Bream was spotted in the stands grooming his mustache.

Yankees 4, Twins 3 — A-Rod and Posada homered, but most importantly Ivan Nova was serviceable. They’re going to need him to be serviceable, especially since Phil Hughes is topping out at 64 mph. Here’s Nova on facing Jim Thome: “I got to take you out now.” I’m already liking this dude.

Since MLB is very strict about where their videos can be viewed, we’re left with this. All business:
