NHL On Versus: The NHL is set to announce a new deal that will keep the league on NBC and Versus for the next 10 years, and Dick Ebersol stated that within 90 days Versus will be renamed with the letters “NBC” in the title. ESPN was the last company to drop out of the running for hockey rights when the bidding war hit the $200 million a year mark. I called Matt Barnaby for a quote, but he was too sad to talk.
