Cheerleading: A cheerleading scandal has erupted! Two weeks ago, California State Long Beach captured a National Championship in its division. But after watching videotape of the performance, a team adviser noticed that a male cheerleader who already graduated and was ineligible to to participate had performed with the team. So Cal State Long Beach was stripped of its title, and the team’s coach – who had been with the program for 10 years – was fired. This sounds like scenes from the next episode of “Hellcats.” [LA Times]
