Jim Tressel Exchanged "Numerous Emails, Phone calls and Text Messages," After Being Alerted Players Were Selling Memorabilia

Tresselgate: The Columbus Dispatch has revealed Jim Tressel exchanged “numerous emails, phone calls and text messages with the tipster, his star quarterback Terrelle Pryor and Pryor’s mentors” contradicting his initial claim he was scared and kept the information to himself after learning his players had exchanged memorabilia for tattoos. There’s no indication he alerted his bosses or Ohio State compliance. The emails reveal nothing substantial we did not know already. Without the content of the phone calls and texts, there’s nothing damning here. [Dispatch]
