Spurs Refuse To Die. Can Memphis Recover?

If you’re a Grizzlies fan – first of all, wow – then Wednesday night’s game must have been devastating. The Grizz were moments and seconds and minutes – but really generations – away from a win. So close, but so, so damn far. You have to stomp the Spurs. They must be made to feel old and slow. You can’t just escape with a close single-digit win against the Spurs. They are crafty veterans.

Even 26-year-old rookies are crafty veterans when they’re playing for San Antonio. Now Memphis must win tonight at home. I just can’t picture a scenario where Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker and Greg Popovich lose a Game 7 to the Memphis Grizzlies at home. This is mission in-freakin-sanity. Yes that’s a Fast Five quote. Why? Because the idea of the Spurs losing a Game 7 at home to the Grizzlies is as crazy as I would have thought the idea of me actually wanting to see a fifth FF film in the theater a few years ago. Wait, does that mean Memphis still has a chance?
