Derrick Rose will be presented with his first NBA MVP award this evening. Then he’ll try to take less than 27 shots to get 24 points. And he’ll try to lead his #1-seeded Chicago Bulls to a series-evening victory at home. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks will try to just keep winning. Joe Johnson was lights out on Monday and Jamal Crawford played like he thinks he can play. Of course, you’d play like Jamal Crawford thinks he can play if Kyle Korver was guarding you.
Later, the Lakers will try to figure out how in the world they blew a 16-point second-half lead to the Dallas Mavericks. That might have been the most improbable comeback in the history of NBA playoff basketball, speaking strictly hyperbolically. I’m pretty sure the Lakers will even the series tonight. Why? Because Kobe and David Stern won’t let the Lakers lose two straight playoff games.
