UFC Health Insurance: In a big moment for MMA, the UFC has enacted an insurance policy that will cover all fighters under contract to UFC and Strikeforce. “Zuffa pays 100 percent of the premiums for the policy. There are no monthly fees incurred by the fighter for participating in the plan.” Before, fighters were just covered for fight night injuries. Now, if a contracted fighter is injured during training, the UFC will pay their medical costs. The organization has been working towards this for years. [MMAjunkie]
