Waiting for Bosh

Through two games in the Finals, Bosh has been a non-factor on defense, he bricked on the most crucial possession of game two, and offensively, he’s been dreadful. After laboring through the regular season, Bosh looked like the 22-10 player he used to be in the first three rounds of the playoffs against Philly, Boston and Chicago.

Miami rolled in game one without him because the reserves were effective; they were actually fine in game two without his offense until the final seven minutes when the 15-point lead evaporated, coaching mistakes were made, and Dirk and Jason Terry put on a show.

The Mavericks are favored by 2.5 tonight, but I like the Heat. My guess is that the game will be much more high-scoring than the often-sluggish games in Miami, and if LeBron and Wade see that Bosh isn’t into the game early, I wouldn’t be surprised to see duo drop close to 80 points. LeBron obviously can’t be stopped 1-on-1, and the guess here is Wade looks to deliver payback for his preening in game two that allegedly fired up the Mavericks.

I’ll guess Dallas 108, Miami 112. And yes, I’m thrilled the game is starting at 8 pm.
