The Enormous Ego of the Morris Twins

Well now Markieff’s twin, Marcus, popped off on WSSP in Milwaukee during an interview about how his game maybe resembles Carmelo Anthony’s because he’s “a mid-range king.”

"Q: Who does your game most resemble in the NBA? “I think the Al Harrington comparison is a little accurate, but I think maybe Carmelo [Anthony] I would say because I’m a mid-range king. I love the mid-range game. I think that’s what I can really hang my hat on being a mid-range player and on the defensive side I think that being versatile and guarding many positions. I think it can definitely work for me and just being so athletic and being versatile on the defensive side because I can guard any position.”"

I’ll give this to the Morris twins – they’re supremely confident, and they’re doing a good job of sounding like what they want to be in the NBA. I like the Marcus Morris comparison to Al Harrington – a tweener who comes off the bench to score 10, maybe 15 a night, and can cause matchup problems for 3s/4s, but also will struggle defending 3s/4s. His agent is Tony Dutt who represented another tweener – Rashard Lewis.

Here’s a comparison that Morris probably won’t like to hear, and maybe I’m just running with it because they played at Kansas … Darrell Arthur.
