Are the Heat Really Only the 25th Most Hated Sports Team of All-Time?

The Miami Heat are way down the list at No. 25.
The Heat should be considerably higher. Some of the “hate” for teams on this list is geography-related (the Knicks and the Mets, since large portions of the country seem to dislike New York teams for no discernible reason), and others because people always root against them (1993 Notre Dame, 2005 USC). I thought the weirdest inclusion was the 1984 Georgetown Hoyas. That was one of the first sports teams I clung to as a young lad growing up in Northern Virginia. Obviously, I was in a Hoyas’ hotbed, so I don’t recall anyone hating them.
When you take into account the TV ratings from the 2011 NBA Finals and the rise of social media, I think a case could be made that the Heat belong in the Top 10.
