Rory McIlroy Shoots a Record 16-under to Win the U.S. Open

McIlroy is just eight months older than Tiger Woods was when he won the 1997 Masters with an 18-under, 12-shot victory, a performance Rick Reilly termed the “greatest performance ever seen in a golf major.” Enjoy that Tiger comparison, because without football or playoffs it will be the only thing discussed tomorrow, anywhere.
