Greg Oden’s “little” brother Anthony, a 6-foot-8, 325-pound offensive lineman with the Arkansas Razorbacks, was arrested and charged with DWI over the weekend. It was the second time in the last year he’s been arrested, and given the police report, one wonders if Bobby Petrino will kick Oden off the team:
Charges included driving left of center, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, no proof of ownership, driving on a suspended/revoked license, no driver’s license in addition to the DWI and possession charge.
Oden missed all of last season due to complications from mono, but was expected to compete for a starting job on a rebuilt offensive line. Oden’s presence could be pivotal in Fayettesville – QB Tyler Wilson could have a monster year (assuming he wins the job) with terrific receivers and a strong running game. The offensive line (and a schedule with three difficult road games – yes, Texas A&M in Arlington might as well be on the road) could be the difference between Arkansas making another BCS game and settling for one of those irrelevant ones in late December.
