Kellen Moore, the Heisman hopeful quarterback for the Boise State, is getting married this weekend to his high school sweetheart, Julie Wilson. The couple is registered at Macy’s if you want to get them something nice. There’s a waffle maker on the registry, but surprisingly, no jet skis. The ceremony will be held in Park City, Utah. I’ve been told that Boise State’s football field will act as something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.
2011 seems to be the year of the star collegiate quarterback settling down. Last month Oklahoma QB, Landry Jones, got engaged to his girlfriend, OK shooting guard, Whitney Hand. In addition to Moore, quarterbacks Jake Heaps of BYU and Case Keenum of Houston are walking down the aisle this summer.
So why are all these young quarterbacks settling down so early? Is it because the new CBA will put a limit on how much they’re looking at making as rookies? Thus making it less likely they’ll get high-quality jersey-chasers at the next level and want to lock down their number one gal early?
