The Winnipeg Jets are back and so are their logos… kind of. As you can see, the new club has kept the letters J, E, T and S as well as “Winnipeg,” that the old club was associated with. The colors blue and red also appear in both old and new logos. Though the decision to steal the exact colors from the Columbus Blue Jackets was a curious one.
On Twitter, multiple people have pointed out that the main patch looks like the Jet is on fire. It also looks like it’s 69ing a maple leaf. (The most Canadian of all sexual acts.) Whatever comedic ways we choose to look at the new Winnipeg Jets new logo, it’s what we are stuck with. I’m sure plenty of focus groups and graphic design teams came up with the new look.
