The NFL Lockout May Finally Be Over

If true, then the only things fans will have missed: the Hall of Fame game – starters play what, a series or two? – and Hard Knocks (big loss).
ESPN says the NFL players are planning a press conference Monday. If this goes down as scheduled, then players can report Wednesday, and free agency would officially begin Saturday (unofficially, it began weeks ago, if the Kevin Kolb-to-Arizona rumors are true).
Expect this to be one of those weeks that is equal parts frustrating and exciting – misinformation will run rampant, rumors will be planted, yet it will probably be very, very fun. And it’ll all happen at the same time as the MLB trading deadline, which means double the fun if you like rumors and speculation!
