Was ESPN's Merril Hoge Really A Stripper In College?

During a radio station roast last year, Merril Hoge says that he used to strip at bachelorette parties when he was attending Idaho State. His actual quote was, “I was actually a stripper in college. I actually did things for bachelorette parties.” He really said it. This isn’t some urban legend or tip that came into a random inbox.

So was he serious? Or just using it to set up showing a t-shirt that was given to him by the radio station twenty-something years ago? I really can’t tell. Its been long enough that if pictures existed (or were real, if you will) they probably would have come to light. Also, by owning this story, if they didn’t surface, he’s in a position to laugh at them and move on. I’m guessing it was just a bit, but what do I know. I know there are plenty of blogs out there ready to shell out cash for some Merril Hoge dong.
