DON’T FOLLOW THE HERD IN DOWNGRADING MATT FORTE

My love affair with him is well-documented. In addition to the Top 15 in red zone rushes, Forte was second among all backs with five pass targets inside the 10-yard line (McCoy, Tomlinson, Hightower tied with six each).
Last year, when the Mike Martz system finally started to sink into the Bears huddle, Forte was fifth in yards per carry and third in total yards from scrimmage over the final six weeks.
“He’s really going,” said Martz in Week 17. “He has always been really good, been very impressive, but about five weeks ago, something happened.”
The Bears just signed Marion Barber and now the fantasy herd is giving Forte the bitter-beer face. Not me. Barber’s best days are behind him.
Hopefully Forte’s ADP (average draft position) will stay in the shadows, around the mid-to-late third round, so you can pounce on him before your herd-following league mates.
