And if you’re more like me still, then you know just how frustrating it is when you’re away from home base during game time, sans computer access – and jonesing to find out how your teams are faring in a pinch. Clearly, people like you and me need a little help, if you know what I mean.

That’s where PRMtime Fantasy Apps comes in.

Just in time for the NFL season, the company has created a new mobile app that allows owners to check each of their teams across multiple fantasy sites. All in one place.

With the PRMtime Fantasy Football Mobile Live-Scoring App 2011, all you need is an Internet-accessible mobile device – from an iPhone to an Android to a BlackBerry to any other web-enabled phone – and you can check the stats and scores for each of your teams and your opponents’ teams, too.

When it comes to allowing owners this kind of cross-platform scoring, “There’s no other app like it in the fantasy football industry,” says Nicki Baldini, Vice President and CFO of PRMtime Fantasy Apps. Think of it as one-stop shopping for your fantasy scores.

For full details on how the app works, head to www.prmtime.com.

The quick take is that once you’ve registered, you simply create a league ID, name your team, choose the appropriate scoring settings, then load your roster and your opponent’s roster. (You can create up to seven different leagues to track.) While the interface for the site and app isn’t especially advanced, in this case, simple and user-friendly get the job done. As for pricing, the app itself is free, but there is a $4.99 fee to activate the live-scoring (via STATS) for the entire season.

While not necessarily for the more casual owner, the app is definitely worthwhile for the hardcore fantasy footballer who participates in multiple leagues across more than one site. Having access to all of your teams’ scores in one place is a definite time-saver; rather than sifting and clicking through a bunch of sites or a few separate apps, the most important info – that is, whether you’re winning or losing, by how much, and which players are putting up points – is right there at your fingertips.

“The goal,” Baldini says, “is to help fantasy owners get the information in as few clicks as possible.” On that front, PRMtime’s app is pretty much a touchdown.

That said, it’s still best used as a supplementary piece. Since the PRMtime app is solely focused on the stats and scoring aspects of fantasy football, users are unable to perform other owner-related actions, like making lineup moves (bench/start) and roster transactions (add/drop), that are available with the site-specific fantasy football apps offered by, say, ESPN or Yahoo!

But when it comes to instant, all-in-one access to your teams, PRMtime’s mobile app is not only the first of its kind, it’s also the perfect time-saver for fantasy junkies like you and me.
