Hats off to Sporting K.C. forward C.J. Sapong who stepped up and serenaded USA goalkeeper Hope Solo at practice yesterday. The US Women’s National Team is in Kansas City this week for a friendly against Canada. (Alex Morgan threw out the first pitch last night.) It’s the first time the USWNT has been together since the World Cup this summer.

Back to Sapong though. The 22 year old was turned into a stuttering teenager when finally faced with his soccer crush yesterday, but eventually pulled it together to complete the poem and rap he had written for Solo. She rewarded him with a hug and a kiss. If only all girls were that nice. Now let’s use the comment section to think of words that rhyme with “Alex Morgan.”
