Enter rookie Blaine Gabbert, who has been tabbed the starter for Sunday’s game against Carolina. Yes, one rookie from Missouri will face another rookie from Auburn. Gabbert couldn’t have asked for a better opener – he’s facing the 26th rated pass defense in the league that plays behind a toothless pass rush (just three sacks). It ain’t like Carolina is hostile territory. The Panthers are 3.5 point favorites, and the public is all over them. If you’ve got brass ones, take a chance on Gabbert and the Jags.
