Texas A&M vs. Arkansas: Two top 20 teams. Two former Southwest Conference rivals, and soon to be Southeastern Conference rivals. Expect this game to be played at the Jerry Dome for a long time. Both teams will be mentally beaten up after tough losses last weekend. The Razorbacks are physically beaten up. Knile Davis, Tenarius Wright. The injuries just won’t end.
The key factor should be the pressure A&M’s defensive line gets on Tyler Wilson. The Aggies lead the nation in sacks. If they allow Wilson time to throw, they could be in for a rude introduction to SEC speed. Last year’s win streak removed Mike Sherman from the hot seat, but should he be afforded absolute faith status?
Michigan vs. Minnesota: The Little Brown Jug has lost its luster, except on NCAA 12 where it counts as a rivalry game and the difficulty gets ratcheted up accordingly. Michigan is 35-3 against Minnesota since Bo took over. Denard Robinson had an abscess removed from his throwing arm and will get to work on his footwork against a putrid Minnesota secondary.
Northwestern vs. Illinois: Illinois is off to its first 4-0 start since 1951. Persa is strong enough to start. Let the Heisman campaign commence.
