Jets vs. Ravens on Sunday Night Football: Of Course I'm Worried

Mark Sanchez was laughably bad – 10-of-21, 74 yards, an embarrassing 3.5 YPA – and everyone predicted the demise of the Jets, who had gone to the previous AFC title game. The following week, the Jets hosted the Patriots, and that was the game Revis got torched by Randy Moss …

… but the Jets managed to win anyway, 28-14. This time, the Jets travel to Baltimore, and travel to New England. Yes, 2-3 is likely. I’d say the Jets have a better shot to win this game, and I took them +3.5 (the line is as high as 6.5 in some places).

My guess is that the Jets once again are dreadful on offense because the offensive line is leaky and the running game is not scaring anyone. I do think the Jets’ defense will respond after being humiliated in the media all week following the Oakland loss.

Prediction: Ravens 16, Jets 13.

At least there’s some good news – even if the Jets lose in a close one or get stomped, they won’t be the story tomorrow. Everyone will be talking about the “giving himself up” bullshit call late in Arizona’s collapse against the Giants, the Eagles blowing a 20-point lead, the Cowboys blowing a 24-point lead (biggest in team history!), and Ben Roethlisberger’s maybe-busted leg.
