40:50-19:10: That’s the time of possession difference between the fraudy Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks. The Falcons led, 27-7, but thanks to a missed 61-yard field goal at the horn, held on for the 30-28 win. Seattle didn’t have a drive longer than five plays in the first half.

273: The Buffalo Bills’ offense came into the Cincinnati game 1st in the league in points per game (37.7), 3rd in yards per game (431) and 3rd in 1st downs per game (27). It all fell apart … against the Bengals? The Bills could only muster one TD, 12 first downs, and 273 yards. No, I’m not ready to buy the Bengals as having the best defense in the league.

0. The Cleveland Browns are 2-2, but that’s a deceptive record: They haven’t beaten a team with a winning record (Indianapolis and Miami). I don’t think the Browns are awful – but I definitely think they need a new QB. Colt McCoy isn’t the answer. The Browns have a bye this week, followed by Oakland, Seattle and San Francisco.

11-for-35, 4 turnovers: Those are the numbers from Jets’ QB Mark Sanchez. The Jets lost the best center in the league and immediately, the offensive line fell completely apart and Sanchez – who had been having a good season to date – was lost. The skewering of Sanchez today is a bit overboard – the Ravens defense is still one of the best in the league, and playing at home, in a prime time game, they smelled blood in the water and were ravenous throughout – but hey, everyone praises the guy when he helps guide the Jets to the AFC title game, so it goes both ways.
