2011 ALDS: Mike Napoli is a Baseball Player

Nothing, however, will be able top this Ron Washington quote:
“I think it has a lot to do with the atmosphere that he’s in. It has a lot to do with the work ethic that he brings. He’s a dirt bag. He is a baseball player. He really is.”
When Ron Washington is done managing, the hope is that he’ll hop right into the broadcast booth. Yes, Mike Napoli is a legally licensed professional baseball player. And while “dirtbag” does come to mind each and every time I see his beard, it’s probably best not to voice such thoughts.
Attempting to save Tampa’s season this afternoon will be rookie Jeremy Hellickson. Win or lose, Rays fans have got to be giddy over what’s in store for Desmond Jennings, who had two home runs yesterday. A couple more this afternoon would be a delight.
