Real Life Superhero Phoenix Jones Is An Amateur MMA Fighter

He was charged with assaulting two people who police said were “dancing and having a good time” as they walked to their car.

“In this particular case, he perceived that this group was fighting and when we contacted them, they said they weren’t fighting,” said Det. Mark Jamieson, a Seattle Police Department public information officer. “Unfortunately, he used force. He committed a crime, an assault against these individuals. That’s against the law.”

If true, that’s unfortunate. Though, judging by this video, it looks like these dudes were doing more than dancing.

Phoenix/Fodor had his court appearance today and vowed to keep fighting the good fight.

“I will continue to patrol with my team, probably tonight,” he said. “In addition to being Phoenix Jones, I am also Ben Fodor, father and brother. I am just like everybody else. The only difference is that I try to stop crime in my neighborhood and everywhere else.”

I like the idea of the superhero, but even with Batman the execution isn’t always perfect. Well, sometimes…
