Since Major League Baseball has already stated that the lockout had no impact on its puzzling decision to ban Nowitzki from the Fall Classic, we’re left with no choice but to believe Bud Selig is simply sticking it to Mark Cuban any way he can.
If this had been a regular season game, it would not have mattered. But all “first-pitch assignments” for the World Series must be approved by the league office.
