2011 World Series: Cards and Rangers Hoping to Score More Runs

I found it rather amusing that the first World Series related headline I read this morning was in fact, the following sequence of words: “Cards, Rangers Hoping to Score More Runs.” Provocative, unusual and very informative. I always thought the goal of a lineup going into each game would be to, you know, score a lot. But it sounds like the hitters will be stepping into the batter’s box with extra zeal this evening, so make sure to look out for that.

Tonight’s starters are Matt Harrison — 10.2 IP, 5 ER in the postseason — and Kyle Lohse, who has allowed eight runs in two October starts. Since we’re giving a warm welcome to the DH, I expect more chaos than Adebisi in a determined search for “tits.”
