Terrell Owens May Have Attempted Suicide Earlier This Month

TMZ obtained the audio from a 911 call placed by Terrell Owens’ assistant on October 6 because of a possible overdose. His assistant says that it may have been a suicide attempt and that Owens had just gotten off the phone with his girlfriend. Something similar happened in 2006 when reports surfaced that Owens had taken 35 Vicodin.

T.O. is a pretty tragic figure. He’s been a tremendous football player who got an awful reputation despite never getting in trouble with the law. Despite the fact that he’ll be 38 in a little over a month, T.O. had a decent season in 2010 with 72 catches for 983 years and 9 touchdowns. Earlier this week, he held a personal workout that was only attended by ESPN and the NFL Network. He was hoping that a team would give him another shot at playing in the NFL. The only team that responded was an Arena League team looking for some free publicity.

If you feel dirty about visiting TMZ, Larry Brown Sports also has the audio.
