Iowa has played the 105th Sagarin ranked schedule and has not looked good against it. The Hawkeyes are a different team at home you say? Their home opponents: Tennessee Tech, Pittsburgh, Louisiana-Monroe, Northwestern and Indiana. This should be close for a half before Greg Mattison’s adjustments and a tired Iowa defense allow Michigan to pull away.

Texas vs. Texas Tech: After a not so amicable separation, this will be your traditional Thanksgiving weekend matchup. Texas has a top-five pass defense, despite having played Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Texas Tech will struggle containing the Longhorns staid but steady rushing attack. The Iowa State result was an outlier, as was the Oklahoma one. The true Texas Tech is the team that was not quite as good as Kansas State or Texas A&M. That’s a team Texas should beat comfortably at home.

While we are on the subject of Texas football…
