Tiger Woods’ former caddie Steve Williams delivered a room-silencing racial slur yesterday directed at the very golfer who made him a mountain of cash, but has since apologized. The remark reportedly occurred during a caddies roast — a caddies roast?!? — after Williams received an award for “celebration of the year,” in reference to his comments following Adam Scott’s win in August.
During his acceptance speech, Williams explained the intention of that bizarre interview:
“It was my aim to shove it right up that black a***.”
Stay classy, Stevie, you ungrateful, delusional, unfathomably self-involved assclown.
The moronic caddie, realizing how stupid his comment was, has already posted an apology on his website.
“I now realize how my comments could be construed as racist. However I assure you that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to Tiger and anyone else I have offended.”
They can also be construed as insecure and pathetic. Move on, dude. You’re a caddie. A caddie.
Tiger’s agent, Mark Steinberg called the comments “regrettable and sad.”
