Campbell’s Plans Souper Sweepstakes For Super Bowl XLVI

If your main product is soup, and you are an official partner of the NFL, you should be able to put a relevant campaign together for Super Bowl XLVI.

No problem, says Campbell Soup. The company has unveiled a sweepstakes offering ten consumers the opportunity to win a trip for two to attend Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis on Feb. 5.

The Campbell’s “Chunky Super Bowl XLVI Sweepstakes” is being offered exclusively on the Chunky soup brand’s Facebook page. Each prize package will include a pair of tickets to the game, four nights of hotel accommodations, airfare and ground transportation. Prize packages (ten total) will be awarded twice a week between Nov. 8 and Dec. 10, 2011.

Marketing support includes Internet and social media, print, POP and on-product information.

“Football fans love Chunky soup and they are also big fans of Facebook,” Mark Materacky, senior brand manager for Campbell’s Chunky Soup & Chili, said in a statement. “The Chunky Super Bowl XLVI Sweepstakes combines the engagement of our Chunky Facebook community with the excitement of Super Bowl XLVI.”

According to Materacky, the brand has more than 100,000 followers Facebook. “We want to take this engagement to a new level for these fans, and the millions of other Chunky fans across the country, by offering an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime, fan experience.”

Campbell Soup said that when all ten prize packages to Super Bowl XLVI have been awarded, all entrants would be eligible to win an autographed NFL football each of the 46 days leading up to Super Bowl XLVI (awarded Dec. 22, 2011 to Feb. 5, 2012). (Full details here.)
